Unending Love

Posted by: on May 7, 2007 | No Comments

To those beloved in reality, and in the Heaven:

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it’s age old pain,
It’s ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star, piercing the darkness of time.
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers,
Shared in the same shy sweetness of meeting,
the distressful tears of farewell,
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

GPLed Java!

Sun’s JDK (including JVM, compiler and class libraries) and Java EE Server is going to be released under GPLv2.

Due to GPL’s free state, Sun will not constrain committer’s contribution of porting Java to other platforms, and distributions of Java in popular Linux distros.

Such a milestone in Free Software movement! Stallman will be laughing.

Flash Player 9 Linux

Believe it or not, it’s out! Go get it.

Update:

Flash Player 9 d55 crashes on my Ubuntu Edgy. Don’t know why. Core dump could only help to trace into some irrelevant library.

History of my Blog

Posted by: on Oct 10, 2006 | 2 Comments

I have kept blogging since 3 years ago, from which her name has been changed for several times. At the very beginning, it was called “BoKe is the Name” which was simply formed of its domain name. The archive could possibly be found here. After a sudden ban that claimed the existence of sensitive information prohibited by China government, I intentionally moved it to a US hosting company and applied an official license from China communcation administration bureau, to avoid possible political risks. Then it was renamed to “lifelong: knowledge acquisition”, inspired from Issac Mao’s blog “lifelong (e)learning”, which was also banned by China administration due to its inclusion of sensitive information on GFW.

At the end of last year, I planned to provide private blog service for my friends under boke.name, as a result, my blog address was changed to a certain path under boke.name. And my blogging software has been changed from MT to WordPress. Again, she was renamed to “Running Sandwitch” where the second word was intentionally mispelled from “sandwich”.

This is a brief blogging history of mine.
